There has been a worshipping Christian community on the site of All Hallows since AD 675. Today we seek to serve the busy City community that surrounds us by offering space for peaceful reflection and prayer during weekdays together with a regular programme of services and events timed to fit in with working hours.

There are short services of Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer most weekdays, and a said Eucharist, lasting 30 minutes, at 8.30am every Thursday morning. On Tuesday 7 March we are also starting a new weekly lunchtime communion service in the Columbarium Chapel in the crypt. Lasting around half an hour, this will be an opportunity to take time out in the middle of the day to meet with God in word and sacrament. The prayers will include a focus on healing as we hold before God those for whom prayers have been specially requested.

On Wednesdays at 6.00 pm our Taizé service (35 minutes) provides a contemplative space at the end of a busy day in which candlelight and meditative chant draw us closer to God. There are also short lunchtime services for major weekday commemorations in the church year such as Ash Wednesday and Remembrance Day. Please check the calendar page for further details and service times.

You are very welcome at all of these services, or to simply to drop in and spend a few minutes in the main church or one of the peaceful chapels in our crypt during the day.

We have a programme of lunchtime organ recitals and a number of other weekday lectures and events throughout the year: please see What’s on for up to date details.

The parish clergy are also readily available to discuss matters of faith or just for a friendly discussion at other times, either after our services or by appointment: please feel free to contact us.
